dc.description.abstractO artigo analisa a relevância da atividade física no contexto do Ensino Médio Integrado à Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT), e destaca a contribuição para a formação integral do estudante. Inserido nos princípios da pedagogia histórico-crítica, o estudo enfatiza que a Educação Física deve promover práticas críticas, emancipadoras e voltadas ao desenvolvimento da autonomia, saúde e cultura corporal. A integração dessa disciplina ao currículo visa o equilíbrio dos aspectos cognitivos, sociais e corporais e, ao mesmo tempo, facilita a construção de cidadãos conscientes e críticos, capazes de transformar a realidade social.
dc.description.abstract2This article analyzes the relevance of physical activity in the context of High School Integrated with Professional and Technological Education (EPT) and highlights its contribution to the comprehensive education of students. Based on the principles of historical-critical pedagogy, the study emphasizes that Physical Education should promote critical, emancipatory practices aimed at developing autonomy, health, and body culture. The integration of this discipline into the curriculum aims to balance cognitive, social, and physical aspects and, at the same time, facilitates the development of conscious and critical citizens capable of transforming social reality. In addition, the BNCC reinforces the importance of languages and cultural practices in the process of including movement in the comprehensive education of young people. The text also highlights the role of diagnostic and continuous assessment in individual and collective trajectories in promoting a more humanizing and participatory education. Thus, physical activity is presented as a fundamental element in omnilateral education because it contributes to health, autonomy, and citizenship, in line with the EFA objectives in preparing students for the challenges of the contemporary world. The study also reinforces that the implementation of critical and integrated pedagogical practices is essential to enhance the benefits of Physical Education in the teaching and learning process.
