The purpose is to demonstrate trends in Federal Network of Education in Brazil and specifically discuss issues of management of Federal Institutes, in particular the Federal Institute of Rondônia. The research is documentary. National indicators of dropout and retention reveal that less than half of the students of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology can complete courses of middle and higher levels.
